Royal Endeavors – Biarritz

My dear audience,

I am pleased to delight you with a freshly pressed spectacular Royal Endeavors traveling episode, this time dedicated to Biarritz, a fancy coastal city located on the Bay of Biscay (Atlantic coast), which lies south-west to France, in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department of the Aquitaine territory, a few miles from the border of Spain. Considering I only spent a few hours enjoying this seaside marvel, I will keep my words witty and my speech rather short this time, yet rich in details, as always.

My visit to Biarritz was part of a designated day trip including San Sebastian, which will be the main subject of a separate blog post shortly, given the totally different moods and weather conditions we experienced on the same day. While Biarritz was moody, cloudy, cold and therefore probably gave a false impression of stiffness, San Sebastian was bathing in the warmth of the ever glowing spring sun, making all my lovely panoramic pics possible, sprinkling joy over my pretty face. I cannot wait to share my marvelous experience with you, darlings, but meanwhile, let’s dig a few facts about Biarritz.

Off the record, the now fashionable former fishing village made famous after 1854 by Napoleon III and his Spanish empress is a bit overrated for my taste but still elegant, in the discreet, old money, French kind of way, at the opposite pole of show-off.

Visited by Queen Victoria, Edward VII, and Alfonso XIII of Spain, Biarritz began to call itself “the queen of resorts and the resort of kings.” Now being a surfing attraction definitely allows a fresh air of salty exuberance and charming youth to wrap carelessly around the contrasting valances pondered by the classy boutiques, fancy restaurants and high quality chocolate shops which I definitely recommend.

Royal Endeavors – Catedral de Burgos

Dear ladies and gentlemen,

Welcome back to the much expected but less anticipated Royal Endeavors eclectic episode which marks the beginning of the fabulous birthday adventures I recently had in Spain and Basque Country, by starting with a visit at the breathtaking Cathedral of Saint Mary of Burgos.

First I would like to mention this trip is featured and available in the Senior Voyage offer proposals of Christian Tour, one of the most appreciated travel agencies in Romania and the one in charge of most of the cultural trips I had taken with my parents, which we had very much enjoyed.

The greatest thing about these trips, except the destination, are the well-prepared and considerate guides, armed with impressive knowledge, patience and flawless people skills, the optional daily organized trips, which can be quite fast-paced, sometimes exhausting but incredibly rich in cultural and religious tourist attractions and the senior tourists accompanying us, which are absolutely delightful, to my opinion – witty, mannered and high spirited, just as I wish some people of my age would be. Honestly, I always prefer to be surrounded by younger or elder people I have much to learn from.

After waking up at 4 in the morning on the day of the departure, which was not my greatest pleasure (neither 7 or 8 is), we arrived with a Tarom flight to Madrid, where a brand new and fully equipped Christian Tour travel bus was waiting to take us to Comillas, a lovely municipality in Cantabria, northern Spain, set to be our residential town for the next seven days. We were part of an ideal group of 17 people, accommodated in a 54 seats bus so just imagine the discretion, space and comfort each of us had plus time to get to know each other.

With these being said, I will dedicate an exclusive Royal Endeavors blog post to the wonderful Comillas separately, as it hosts several architectural marvels, including one of the few villas designed by Antoni Gaudí outside of Catalonia – the exquisite El Capricho – spacious, intimate and delightful, an exquisite summer residence adorned with the Sun Flower symbol. Stay tuned for more!

Before going any further, deep diving into the historical background of Catedral de Burgos – the first gothic cathedral of the Peninsula – I would like to point out the outstanding psychological factor of seeing such a majestic ornamented interior has on my personal state of being. This is simply a personal experience based on keen observation, combined with a little bit of self-awareness, sprinkled over the refinement of my tastes through time.

I do understand other architectural currents such as minimalism but they are not really my cup of tea. Speaking about tea, the fact that I adore a smokey black African one gives a great suggestion on my preference for any art form which is oppulent, highly decorated, heavy in details, bursting with symbolism and myth in front of my very eyes. This heavy art with a twist of myth and magic is what truly energizes me, especially on my arrival in Spain, after a too early morning start and quite a long journey – not the big empty spaces in fancy “greige” (grey+beige) marble shades but the Gothic, Baroque and Renaissance styles intertwined to shine light upon this  reigning beauty of Castile and León, the impressive Metropolitan cathedral of Burgos, groundbreaking in 1221.

Built over more than four centuries, the Cathedral bears testimony to the creative genius of architects, sculptors, and craftsmen throughout these periods.

The monument is an extraordinary summary of European Gothic influences, which can be admired in every component of the structure, from the facades and chapels to the stained glass windows and sculptures and contains all key attributes to express its Outstanding Universal Value, having been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984.

Royal Endeavors – Interior Design

CFA36F03-C0F3-41BF-BC7C-B1A02C64DC66

Dear ladies and gentlemen,

Welcome back to the spiritual realms of my Royal Endeavors artful episodes, featuring Your Divine Highness, the One and Only, QueenP. As always, I will be your delightful host for this wonderful edition, praising nothing but Beauty, Art and Luxury, as a freshly graduated Interior Design aficionado supervised by the famous Martine Claessens, in the context of the intensive course provided by Designist – Creative Learning.

After 7 intensive weeks of graceful lectures, sprinkled with wonderful visual details and celebrated through inspirational homework, which for me was a real pleasure to complete, I have decided to show off my progress through a dedicated blog post. Please excuse my professional ignorance, but as a spiritual being having a worldly experience, I have always assumed that architects symbolically limit our direct communication with the Divine Source by placing a roof above our heads and several walls around our body. Little did I know how relevant would Interior Design be from a symbolical perspective, by triggering the much expected step further into maturity I needed to take, in what concerns both my mentality and behavior.

As I have previously mentioned, 7 is my Destiny Number, so it is a matter of synchronicity and not coincidence we were notified during out first classes the course will be intensive and finalized earlier than expected, taking up 7 weeks. The number 7 is a highly spiritual number. It is the combination of both 3, the number of unbridled creativity, and 4 the number of mastery of the material plane. When you combine these forces, you end up with an astonishing spiritual aptitude and an unique destiny. You can imagine the frequency I have observed both 3 and 4 in triple sequences lately (333, 444), but also 7 and 8, which I consider to be a very lucky omen.

During the 7 weeks duration of the course, I have noticed an increased frequency of vivid dreaming, all concerning the home of my departed grandparents, which now belongs to me. I was either cleaning by sweeping floor or discussing with workers on how to proceed with the renovation I was clearly in charge. The action which I recall in detail was talking to two gardeners which were removing weeds in regards to the swings I would like to have in the garden. You will probably notice the presence of a swing in Veronica’s art room presentation following the discourse.

As you could be aware of, the significance of a house symbol appearing in dreams relates to our Mind, Body and Soul, the house of our Spirit, and it is no wonder how important taking this class was for my spiritual ascension. The mere fact of beautifying a person’s surroundings, his home, the most intimate comfort zone, is the equivalent of weeding the garden of his Soul, paiting the walls of his Spirit with Grace and decluttering his Mind of the burden of negative thoughts.

For a person like myself, dedicated to bringing Comfort, Joy and Beauty everywhere I go, this spiritual interpretation I have enhanced Interior Design with is spectacular. When we are talking about an awake, spiritual person holding the Power of Creation over his Universe, on a material level, this translates into designing and decorating his own home. I am sure you follow me, therefore I will start the Royal Endeavors adventure by making the presentations and introducing my work.

Royal Endeavors – Rosslyn Chapel

3F9F855A-1076-466E-9126-27FF41BF4CC4#PrincessaPetra x #RosslynChapel #GloryToTheHoly #Proph3ticJustice

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Esteemed Audience,

“If thoust can comprehend these things, thoust know enough.”

– William St Clair

We have gathered in the virtual space on this glorious All Saints’ Eve to cherish and honor the last outstanding episode of the Royal Endeavors – Scotland series, which is introducing the breathtaking Rosslyn Chapel, an oustanding architectural masterpiece which maintains its sacred allure despite being over-publicized as a tourist attraction, transcending all the expectations of those who come to visit it.

Having the chance to visit Rosslyn Chapel precisely on Saint Peter and Paul Feast, my name anniversary day, after visiting Edinburgh and experiencing the magical encounter with Hazel the Owl, is what I consider to be an exquisite gift from the Universe, one of the best I have ever received. It wasn’t only the name anniversary of my Father and I, but also of Peter St Clair-Erskine, the 7th Earl of Rosslyn, as the Rosslyn Chapel remains privately owned.

You can’t even imagine my enthusiasm to reach this fabulous 600 years old enigma, “a diminutive place of worship” invested with undisputed power, which incited the spirits for centuries and gave birth to a brilliantly conceived web of intrigue that spans three millennia to embroil the Catholic Church, Crusader Knights, Freemasonry, poets, painters and musicians, politicians and kings.

Royal Endeavors – St Andrews

9406873E-CBD2-4DF6-A754-708DC4602174Ladies and Gentlemen,

This post is exclusively dedicated to St Andrews, a chic seaside town northeast of Edinburgh, on Scotland’s east coast.
It’s known for its many golf courses, including the Old Course, with the landmark Swilcan Bridge at the 18th hole, the British Golf Museum which chronicles the history of U.K. golf, the ruins of St. Andrews Castle with its medieval bottle dungeon, located on a headland nearby and the University of St. Andrews, founded in 1413.
There’s gothic romance floating in the air and it’s attractively odd, but maybe it is not the most suitable for the ones who don’t like students or golf.
For me, it was the cherry on top.

St Andrews has the loveliest atmosphere I have experienced in Scotland.
It is not only due to the fact Prince William met Kate Middleton in the most relatable way possible at the cosy North Point Cafe.
It must because of the great memories I instantly made when reaching this wonderful place. The very moment our group left the coach at the designated meeting point, a symphonic orchestra was preparing for a recital.
They already had a few spectators resting on benches and they were just about to begin.
The delightful fact is the conductor had the brilliant inspiration to make my day glorious and, out of the sudden, he paused his manoeuvre and waited for us to reach the top of the hill in order for the recital to commance.

Royal Endeavors – Edinburgh

#PrincessaPetra x #HazelTheOwl Matching Prints in Edinburgh

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

Following the saying the most sacred promises are the ones we make to ourselves, I promised myself I would invest more time and attention in carefully completing the spiritual story-telling sessions about my adventures in Scotland in order to make room for the future to unfold itself gracefully.

This enlightening blog post is dedicated to the wonderful Edinburgh, Scotland’s brighting crown jewel and a fortunate series of marvelous events which happened on my name anniversary, on Saint Peter and Paul Feast, the 29th of July – one of the best days of my life!
Thanks to a profoundly divine synchronicity and an unexpected change of plans from our travel agency, we had reached this fascinating city instead, and I couldn’t be more grateful – it was a truly fabulous day – felt like I was God’s favorite!!!

Edinburgh is Scotland’s compact, hilly capital. It has a medieval Old Town and elegant Georgian New Town with gardens and neoclassical buildings. Looming over the city is Edinburgh Castle, home to Scotland’s crown jewels and the Stone of Destiny, used in the coronation of Scottish rulers. Arthur’s Seat is an imposing peak in Holyrood Park with sweeping views, and Calton Hill is topped with monuments and memorials.

Edinburgh is an effortlessly cohesive reflection of Scotland’s breathtaking rural landscape, flaunting cultural vibrancy, historic charm, and scenic wonder. Even its New Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
