Princessa Petra Off Duty – Queen of the Roses – Kazanlak, Valley of the Roses, Bulgaria.
There’s so much to appreciate about my life every single day, and I make a big point of taking time to Smell the Roses and noticing how lucky I am.
I never want to take that for granted.
– Josie Maran
Hello, My Majestic Roses! 🌸🌺🌸🌹🌸🌺🌸
Welcome to a new Delightful Royal Endeavors 2k17 Episode – and Thanks to God All Mighty, these are so frequent lately – there is nothing like a Deep Breath of Fresh Air and an Inspiring Change of Scenery (More of this, please!) to support my Emotional need to just Sleep Tight, Sit Down, Relax and fxcking Smell the Roses – Nature’s most Gracious Proof of Everlasting Love – the Supreme Symbol of Divine Beauty. 🙌🙌🙌
Of course, that is precisely what I did – step by step lol – I took my own advice seriously during this short trip by car with the Royal Family for my Birthday to Kazanlak city and the Valley of Roses in Bulgaria. 🕊🕊🕊
Truly Spectacular! 🍾🍾🍾
I am absolutely thrilled and spiritually relieved to have taken such a Inspiring Time Off – remember this – whatever keeps me Happy, makes your days Brighter since I am here to Shine the Way. ☀️☀️☀️
And she was fair as is the rose in May.
– Geoffrey Chaucer
Never mind it rained for Wealth and Abundance for half a day on Saturday, the main touristic ocassion agreed to invest in expanding my knowledge in regards to the Wonders of Bulgaria – this was exactly my Birthday weekend so Pour that Divine Love on Me – May Peace, Love and Serenity Lead the Way to Fulfill my Destiny. 🍒🍒🍒
Let’s not forget I freestyle as good as A$AP Rocky for Oxford University lol. 🐧🐧🐧
I got that XO written all over me (because that is my favorite hoodie, off course – there’s nothing like The Weeknd and his former Palm Tree Hair to Make My Gorgeous Body tremble with Class and R’n’B. 🦋🦋🦋
Please get accustomed to Your Highness wearing man clothes for her Off Duty ‘casual’ Looks. 👔👔👔
It’s sexier than “showing my a$$ for all to see”.
(I do that at Another Level – Grace in your Face, batches lol)
Or should I say Lust (for Life), just because I look Luxury? “Casual” to me is exactly what you see – the vintage jeans I have customized with Roses Patches (from Bershka – don’t judge – these are the greatest Rose Patches I’ve seen, by the way – and that Red Heart (#GottaRepresent) all over my chest. 🌈🌈🌈
What can I do? Chill – you know the Drill…
Let’s proceed to give you what you need – the Official Touch Down of this Supreme Beauty, QueenP, the Rose of All Roses, so not “the girl next door” in Bulgaria Country lol. 🐤🐤🐤
As much as I would have thought this trip would be particularly boring, especially due to challenging weather conditions, I simply did my thing – chill & relax – it appears Bulgaria is Historically much Hyper than expected – so much to see indeed – too bad Bulgarians do not particularly excel in foreign languages at this moment and Lucky Me for being so expressive lol!!! I always get what I want! 🙏🙏🙏
Just when I thought we were there only for the Roses lol… 🌹🌹🌹
And the Food, too, can’t hide the Truth – I have tried possibly the most Tasty Veggies in Europe in Bulgaria, note this down!
I am actually so glad it rained because I had to let Ancestral Knowledge Pour Down on me on a little visit tour around Kazanlak in order to make it happen – while everything smelled like Rain and Roses. Since you’ve been wondering – that’s exactly what is keeping me Young, Gorgeous and Free. 📿📿📿
Knowledge, Love and Beauty. 🙌🙌🙌
Beauty is an Ecstasy; it is as simple as hunger.
There is really nothing to be said about it.
It is like the Perfume of a Rose: you can smell it and that is all.
– W. Somerset Maugham
It all started with a brief encounter with a majestic Owl – the very Sacred Symbol of Wisdom and Prophecy, which has touched the windscreen of my bro’s Red Lancer and Launched back into the Sky – I knew I stepped into my #GloryToTheHoly to fulfill God’s #Proph3ticJustice – styled in #TheWeeknd H&M Spring Icons “If it ain’t XO, it gotta go!” ❤️ Hoodie with a Fre$h New Hairdo, off duty along Royal Family into the Rose Valley in Bulgaria – Sublime! 🌸🌺🌸💜🌸🌺🌸
What a Wonderful road trip we took – enjoyable view – I don’t know about you, but it completely calms me down to see everything Alive around me – Nature at its finest, fields of poppies, all kinds of little birds flying, butterflies, the silent villages we crossed through, all the fancy gardens, everything green and living, fresh air to breathe deeply, all flowers in bloom – a solemn scenario to invest yourself in completely. 🦉
Speaking of solemn scenarios, (Spiritual) Beauty and Ecstasy, I’ve just bought Kendrick Lamar’s DAMN album and delight myself to it while depicting my strong involvement in my birthday weekend – I Got Royalty Into my DNA and Roses are All I See so Sweet and Lovely – I started the Weekend in The Weeknd, with a home made omelette with cheese and bacon, “Coffee, Tea and Me” on the welcoming terrace of Telbizovite Houses Ethnographic Complex in Mŭglizh. 🌲🌲🌲
I personally chose this location for the weekend as I believed it look particularly charming in a “Vintage” Bulgarian way lol – the complex featured a generous restaurant inside we never stayed in, a cool exterior Terrace we hanged out by, enjoying Fresh Air over a cup of tea with honey (for some reason I don’t even know, I stopped drinking alcohol and I am very proud of it), and traditionally decorated facilities/chambers for an enjoyable experience.
The good news was you could not key lock these rooms.
If I am to dig deeper in the Symbolism of this matter, I would translate this into the proper Invite to seriously sort your Trust issues over the Weekend lol. 🌈🌈🌈
Sounds like Unconscious Short Term Therapy. ✨✨✨
This Traditional Scenario was a Well Deserved sight for sore eyes – surprisingly cozy and representative for what I believe to (have be(en) a Bulgarian Miniatured Village Inn, gifted with a generous Garden in Bloom and benches to enjoy it properly – Authentically Decorated and filled with Cherry trees YUM. 🍒🌹🍒
I received Room Number 3 (Magical!), which has its own vintage fire place. That was absolutely awesome!
Considering the Mountain Village scenario, the temperature was too Refreshing for my Reference Ranges therefore I had to put the Heater On – Uh, Hot! – and had a Very Deep Night Sleep! DAMN! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Perfect Recovery Routine to properly prepare me for a day well spent admiring the Roses. 🕊🕊🕊
That which God said to the Rose, and caused it to laugh in full-blown Beauty, He said to my Heart, and made it a hundred times more Beautiful.
Let’s indulge into the Myth and Glory of the Legend of the Rose and this time I am talking about the Flower, not its splendid personification – Me. 💜💜💜
Lucky me (again!) – I am quoting from the prospect of Aroma Essence Eau de Parfum “Rose” with Rose Oil, one of multiple Choices of Beauty Products enriched with my favorite Precious Aroma in the world.
If there is One Thing to invest in Bulgaria (of course there are more!) is its local market and touristic attractions. 🗿🗿🗿
“The Rose has always been a Symbol of Love, Youth and Beauty.
There could not possibly be a Flower which has been more Cherished and Praised from antiquity to modern days. Perhaps because of its intoxicating fragrance, with which one immediately falls in love, it has always been connected with something divine. 📿📿📿
An ancient Roman Legend relates the origin of the Rose and its red color to Goddess Diana and Venus. Diana, the Goddess of Hunting and the Moon, had a very Beautiful Priestess named Rosalia. She fell in Love with a young lad – Semedor – so deeply that she decided to Marry him and leave the Goddess. 🔮🔮🔮
Furious at her Priestess’ unfaithfulness, Diana pierced her with an arrow. A bush with fragrant white blossoms sprang up from the spot where the Priestess’ blood had trickled. They were called Roses after Rosalia’s name. And once, when Venus – the Goddess of Love – was running away from her infuriated husband Mars, she pricked herself on the thorns of the Rose Bush. The blood colored the Blossoms red.” 🌹🌹🌹
Nevertheless, the Rose was an Icon of Veneration in the pre-Christian era, and was used in ancient Rome to symbolize devotion to the Goddess Venus. Following the Christianization of Rome under the emperor Constantine, the Rose became identified with the Virgin Mary. The Rose Symbol eventually led to the creation of the Rosary and other devotional prayers in Christianity. 🙏🙏🙏
Given the current political context, it makes an honorable mention to state the fact that the Rose is the national Flower of England, its usage dating back to the English civil wars of the fifteenth century (later called Wars of the Roses), in which a red Rose represented the House of Lancaster, and a white Rose represented the House of York. The Tudor dynasty created the Tudor Rose, which united both the white and the red roses, a symbolism dramatized by Shakespeare in his play Richard III.
The traditional ballad “The Rose of England” (Child 166) recounts the seizure of the crown by Earl of Richmond (who became Henry VII of England, the founder the Tudor dynasty), using the “Red Rose” as an allegory for Henry.
May Peace Be With The United Kingdom! 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
However, all you need to know (from me and without searching for it) is that the Bulgarian Rose Oil, or Rose Otto, is the Essential Oil extracted from the petals of one of the rarest flowers in the world, the Bulgarian Rose Damascena; which is only cultivated and harvested in the Rose Valley of Kazanlak (also known as the “Bulgarian Rose Valley”). 🏆🏆🏆
Because of its amazing properties, multiple applications in skin care, medicine, aromatherapy, and fine perfumery, and extremely limited supply very year, pure genuine Bulgarian Rose Otto is considered one of the most precious essential oils in the world. 🍾🍾🍾
Known as the finest Rose oil or “Rose Otto” in the world, the Bulgarian Rose Oil has been distilled for over 300 years. The exact origin of the Damascus Rose can not be traced however there are fossil records which show Roses have existed for millions of years.
It is the oldest cultivated European plant in the United States and has been called the Queen of Flowers all over the world. Uses of Rose Oils date back to the ancient civilizations of Persia, Asia, Greece, Rome and Egypt. 🌸🌺🌸🌺🌸🌺
The origin of the cultivated Rose is often quoted as the Gulf of Persia, which is now known as Iran.
From the 10th to the 17th century the Rose industry was developed and dominated by Persia, and particularly in Shiraz, the famous city of Poets and Oriental Culture. 🕌🕌🕌
From here the Rose industry spread into Arabia, Mesopotamia, Palestine, Asia Minor (Anatolia) Greece, India, North Africa, and due to the conquering Moors reached as far as Spain.
According to legend, in the 13th century R. Damascena was brought from Damascus to Southern France by the returning Crusaders, although some experts believe it may have actually been R. gallica instead. ⚗️⚗️⚗️
Nevertheless, the Rose Oil is known for its aphrodisiac, antidepressant, antiseptic, antispasmodic and astringent actions – it creates a feeling of Calm and Well-Being. Yum. Rose Oil is often used to treat skin problems, asthma, coughs, depression, headache and insomnia – basically everything. What if I told you Rose Otto blends well with many High-Quality Oils including Lavender, Neroli, Jasmine, Sandalwood, Ylang-Ylang, and many others? 🌹🌹🌹
The essential Rose Oil has psychotherapeutic, antidepressant, heart/circulatory stimulating, regulating and soothing Qualities that make it widely used in aromatherapy. 🌸🌺🌸🌺🌸🌺🌸
It restores the general balance of the Body, Boosts Concentration, and Uplifts the Spirit. 🛁🛁🛁
These being said, I started Saturday with a trip to Rose Museum – that’s how it’s done! 🍒🌺🌹🌺🍒
Part of the larger Historical Museum in Kazaniak, Bulgaria, the Rose Museum started out as an exhibition temporarily staged to Honor the region’s relationship with the oil-producing Flower. ⚗️⚗️⚗️
Eventually, its popularity led to the Rose Museum becoming its own mini-museum, exploring every facet of Bulgaria’s Rose production industry.
It is the only museum of its kind in the world, and digs into almost every aspect of rose oil and rose water production. 🙌🙌🙌
The museum contains the reproductions of the first laboratory for rose oil studies as well as a 1912 rose warehouse.
Photos, documents, and vessels for storing and transporting the precious oils are also popular attractions. A gem of the museum that is considered one of its biggest attractions is a vessel that still smells of the musky, floral fragrance despite being out of commission since the 1940’s.
The gift shop offers the usual museum fare alongside rose jam, rose liquor, and rose-scented cosmetics. 🎯🎯🎯
Next on the Royal Agenda – The Thracian Tomb of Kazanlak – a vaulted-brickwork “beehive” (tholos) tomb near the town of Kazanlak in central Bulgaria. 🎟🎟🎟
The tomb is part of a large Thracian necropolis.
It comprises a narrow corridor and a round burial chamber, both decorated with murals representing a Thracian couple at a ritual funeral feast. The monument dates back to the 4th century BCE and has been on the UNESCO protected World Heritage Site list since 1979.
The murals are memorable for the splendid horses and for a gesture of farewell, in which the seated couple grasp each other’s wrists in a moment of tenderness and equality (according to Lyudmila Zhivkova – a view that is not shared by all specialists). The paintings are Bulgaria’s best-preserved artistic masterpieces from the Hellenistic period.
During the fluctuating weather conditions, we have made the most of our time with a short but lovely visit to the Iskra History Museum, founded in 1901 by the patriotic citizen of Kazanlak, Peter Topuzov, one of the oldest, richest and most famous museums in Bulgaria.
Inside, one can find over 70 000 original exhibits depicting the rich material and spiritual culture of the Kazanlak region.
One can visit the constant exhibitions at the Archeology, Revival, New History, Ethnography and Modern History departments. Tourists can also be interested in the collections of bone sickles (the biggest collection in South-Eastern Europe), Thracian treasuries, medieval ceramics, cold steel and firearms, jewelry and dresses from the past lifestyles of the citizens of Kazanlak.
Inside the treasury hall one can find the newest golden, silver and bronze findings from the Thracian temples in the region. These include the unique golden wreath that belonged to Seutus III, his helmet and knee-pads, the whole golden and silver horse ammunition, together with a rare collection of coins and other objects from the Thracian Age.
Nevertheless, the adventure doesn’t stop here – apparently we were missing the element of challenge in this scenario therefore we have proceeded against all odds to climb up a bumpy mountain road for 2,2 KM to reach the Megalith near Buzovgrad or The Gateway to Afterlife – the so called Stonehenge of Bulgaria. 🗿🗿🗿
The Mystical megalith near the Bulgarian village of Buzovgrad is still hiding its secrets, 4000 years after it was created by a human hand. 🕊🕊🕊
“The door to the Mother Goddess” as the rock is called was created around 2000 years BC. From the people who lived in the Bulgarian lands before the Thracians. 🤹♀️🤹♀️🤹♀️
Later, however, it was used for ritual purposes by one of the largest nations of the earth at that time according to Herodotus. There are various theories about the purpose that served the megalithic structure.
But the fact is that during the summer equinox on June 21st the sunlight passes through the rock window near the village Buzovgrad, Kazanlak.
According to the beliefs of the Thracians, the sunset symbolizes the world of the dead. So it is supposed that the Megalith was kind of a gate between worlds.
Moreover, according to the legend, the Thracians were happy and celebrated when someone died because they thought that it was the beginning of real life and the stay on Earth was punishment.
One theory is that the megalith was used for the burial of Thracian aristocrats. Or as an observation of the stars. Or perhaps as a base for sending signals to the opposite peaks of Stara Planina. From the megalith could be viewed also the capital Odrisses Sevtopolis, which is now submerged under the waters of Koprinka dam, and the few preserved artifacts from the city can be seen in the Historical Museum of Kazanlak. According to another scientific theory, the megalith was used as a calendar that helped the Thracians to organize their life easier. ✊️✊️✊️
Whatever it is you are searching for during your stay in Bulgaria, my advice is to make the most of it, in every and any way possible. 🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋
The Future has become the Past with a fascinating double rainbow displayed all over the Sky on our arrival back in Romania, a sign I have fulfilled another of God’s greatest plans. Given the fact this phenomenon is pretty rare, I will take it as the generous divine wrap of the Universe to my story. 🛎🛎🛎
Historical attractions are definitely worth your attention – they are a click away on the internet.I am so glad it all depends on you haha. Nevertheless, stick your eyes to the Grand Prize (Greatest for me) – there is nothing deeply fascinating as seeing Roses in Bloom everywhere and Living on the Bright/Sunny side of Life, Overcomed with Pure Joy, Charmed by Delicate Colors and Intoxicated by Rose Perfume.
🌺🌸🌺 Peace and Love for One and All!!! 🌺🌸🌺
