Pablo Neruda: Poet of the People by Monica Brown
“According to Greek mythology, humans were originally created with four arms, four legs and a head with two faces. Fearing their power, Zeus split them into two separate parts, condemning them to spend their lives in search of their other halves.”
― Plato, The Symposium
According to the spiritual community, the two human halves are referred as “twin flames”, whose origin is of divine essence, the absolute Source, the supreme energy which incorporates the feminine, masculine and androgynous aspects of Creation.
The twin flames, as manifested into the 3D material reality, are two enlightened souls who combine in God’s greatest Union, not necessarily marital or heterosexual. This relationship is a leading example of unconditional love, the most fulfilling which is to be experienced by the human being.
Nowadays, people have a basic perception of what Love is, conditioned by the common agreement of diminishing their Ego and focusing the attention and emotions on another person.
Many relationships between people who claim to be ‘in love’ are centered on the physical, emotional, mental and sexual patterns of attachment – it could be an egotistical, conditioned or selfish love which demands continual compromise in order to make the partnership last. As romance or passion dims and conflict or indifference arises, the relationship comes to an end and it might involve conflict.
From a spiritual perspective, twin flames are the perfect dynamic which transcends all concepts of Love – they are the exact equal vibrating on opposite frequency intonation, which leads to an existential earthquake of two mirror souls who reflect each other’s needs, fears and desires with a deep transformative power.
“If man works with the god of Love, they will escape this fate and instead find wholeness.” ~ Plato, The Symposium
That is perhaps why the connection of Twin Flames can be the supreme achievement of completeness and joy.
The people who have reunited with their twin agreed that they felt like all forces of the Universe collided to make their meeting happen, but only when their souls reached a level of enlightenment which allowed themselves to receive this gift.
Dealing with any issues of low self esteem, lack of self love, tiredness, disillusion or grief can impede the recognition; there are chances the two have met but have overlooked or belittled each other. Care should be taken in order to avoid romanticized projection, infatuation and idolization.
“Love as a whole has … total … power … and is the source of all happiness. It enables us to associate, and be friends, with each other and with the gods” (188d Transl. Gill)
Twin flames are said to be the ultimate complementary partners, as they hold inborn enlightened potentials that match, complement each other and hold the key to spiritual evolution.
Let’s talk in terms of Energy, Frequency and Vibration. The vital energy of unconditional love oscillates up and down on different frequencies/densities via the vertical reality. The vibe attracts the tribe. Only the spiritual achievement of mastering oneself can attract a perfect match.
